PATH BENEFIT FEATURING: TIDAL WAVE BRASS BAND (NOLA)
Stanley's Famous Pit Barbecue will be holding its fourth-annual Second Line Parade and Mardi Gras Party benefitting PATH on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Stanley’s Famous Pit BBQ. A traditional Second Line parade (with a police escort) will start at PATH, located at 402 W Front St, and travel down Houston Street to Stanley's BBQ.
Mississippi Bastard Project (aka: Revelers Hall Band - Dallas) will perform a lunch set at Stanley's BBQ at 12 pm
Starting at 5 pm, Tyler Valet will be on-site to park cars. The valet zone is located behind Stanley’s on Oakland Avenue. Ride-sharing is encouraged, and a ride-sharing zone for pick-ups will be established at the front of the restaurant utilizing some of their curbside to-go parking spots.
Shuttle buses will transport second-line participants from Stanleys BBQ to PATH from 5pm until 5:45 pm.
The bands will be at PATH performing starting at 5:30 pm.
The Second Line starts at 6 PM and is led by the Tidal Wave Brass Band, flying in from New Orleans, Louisiana. Trumpeter and New Orleans native John Perkins Jr leads the band, featuring Caleb "Shake" Windsay (Rebirth Brass Band) on Trombone, Morale Hoskins (Tidal Wave Brass Band) on Sousaphone, and Glen Finister Andrews (Preservation Hall Jazz Band) on drums. Mississippi Bastard Project and other special guests will also be in the second line!
Tidal Wave Brass Band will continue playing the rest of the evening after marching the second line into Stanley's.
PATH Mardi Gras court members will gather their final donations of their campaigns and the highest fundraisers will be crowned King and Queen at the party! Your support helps restore HOPE and EMPOWER 20,000 of our neighbors yearly!
