Stanley's Famous Pit Barbecue will be holding its third-annual Second Line Parade and Mardi Gras Party benefitting PATH on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Stanley’s Famous Pit BBQ located at 525 S Beckham Avenue in Tyler.

Starting at 5 pm, Tyler Valet will be on-site to park cars. The valet zone is located behind Stanley’s on Oakland Avenue. Ride-sharing is encouraged, and a ride-sharing zone for pick-ups will be established at the front of the restaurant utilizing some of their curbside to-go parking spots.

In previous years, the Second Line parade was from downtown Tyler to Stanley's Famous Pit Barbecue. However, a shorter march will be at the BBQ joint this year.

The Second Line starts at 6 PM and is accompanied by the JMB Brass Band, flying in from New Orleans, Louisiana. Trumpeter and New Orleans native John Michael Bradford leads the band, featuring Alex Wasily (Dumpstaphunk) on Trombone, Morale Hoskins (Tidal Wave Brass Band) on Sousaphone, and Glen Finister Andrews (Preservation Hall Jazz Band) on drums.

JMB Brass Band will play three sets between 6 – 9 pm, and for the last hours of the evening band member Alex Wasily will keep the music going with one of his infamously funky DJ sets.

Stanley's very own three-time winner of BEST BAR TENDER IN TOWN, Heather Brown, is part of the PATH Mardi Gras court this year.

The highest fundraisers will be crowned King and Queen at the party! Your support helps restore HOPE and EMPOWER 20,000 of our neighbors yearly.
